PhD Journey : It is just begin

After meeting my SV, RuAn yesterday, she listed all the important things that I need to do on Monday (okeh, dia yg tulihkan ek..huhu..baek sungguh SV ku ini.) Rase tak sabar lak nak mencomotkan labcoat ku ini dgn chemicals n extracts.hehehe..berkobar2 la plak.

Antara perkara yang saya kene buat :

1. Kena isi evaluation form n pass to her on Monday

2. Get plant material stored @ cold room (dah 6 bulan terperuk dalam tu.hehehe)

3. Meet Allison Reid to inform her that I am back in action! hehe

4. Meet Lorraine to settle about lab safety

5. Meet Mrs Myra McKenna to ask about PECOS account and Budget Code so that I can place my order ASAP cam nak kena beli solvents, NMR tubes, vials etc.

6. Send copy of the lit review to RuAn and Sandy

 About my labwork plak (preliminary study):

1. Dapatkan plant material

2. Ask John to help grinding the plant material

3. Proceed to soxhlet with 4/5 different solvents

4. From the extracts, run a chemical profiling by using LCMS, NMR and TLC to get the idea what type of compounds and which extracts are interesting to pursue

5. Run the assay i.e anticancer (ask Keng Ga to help), antioxidant(DPPH)

6.Analyse the result

Tula yg saya kene settlekan buat masa ni. Hopefully everything will run smoothly. Kene wat keje cepat2 ni sbb dah 6 bulan terbengkalai keje (sape suh peknen kan..hehehehe...saya yg nak!) ..Tapikan...pasni masa saya ngan Amien n Maryam mesti limited..(sedeynye..uwa!!!)

Okie Dokie (Scottish suke sebut.huhu)..saya kena stop dulu. Nanti de masa saya update lagi k.
